SwedePro Chainsaw Protection: How It Works
- Avertic® Pro+ Material: When the rotating chain sinks its teeth into your chaps, this material springs into action.
- Teeth vs. Fabric: As the chainsaw’s teeth make contact, the Avertic® Pro+ material pulls apart, jams the chain, and stops the rotor, giving you precious seconds to react.
- No Permanent Damage: SwedePro’s apparel won’t permanently damage the chain or the chainsaw. After the encounter, a quick cleaning and unjamming, and your chainsaw is ready for action again.

Size and Fit - All chaps come in four lengths with adjustable waistbands measuring from 30"-42”. Chaps are sized by the outside length of the user’s leg. Measure from the top of the hip down past the top of the work boot. Available lengths are 32”, 36”, 40” and 44”, with the option of custom lengths for an additional fee. The correct length should cover the top of the boot ending between the 2nd and 3rd lace point. All straps should be cinched to a snug fit and any zippers fully engaged. Chaps should not be able to rotate around the leg exposing to injury.
WARNING - No one can guarantee that an injury will not occur or will be less severe because an operator wears this protective garment or protective device. It is not a substitute for good safety procedures in chainsaw use. This protective garment is intended, under limited conditions, to assist the wearer in reducing the severity of injury from a running power saw chain that accidentally contacts the saw operator's leg. Even with this garment, severe personal injury can result from contact with the rotating saw chain. This garment contains layers of cut-retardant material designed to reduce the risk of severity of injury to the covered area. Failure to follow the manufacturer's instructions may result in the protective garment or protective device no longer providing the minimum protection required by this specification.
